Craftsmanship

Every jig we create is a testament to craftsmanship. Our artisans use premium materials— durable hooks, natural and synthetic tying materials — to craft lures that perform in any condition. Combining time-tested techniques with innovative design, each piece is rigorously tested for quality, ensuring reliability whether you’re fishing crystal clear springs or muddy swamps. Our jigs are built to last and crafted with pride.

Conservation

Conservation is our responsibility. We donate to St. Johns Riverkeeper, Captains for Clean Water, and Conservation Florida to protect Florida’s waterways from pollution and habitat loss. Using eco-friendly materials when possible, we strive to minimize our environmental impact. When you choose our jigs, you support cleaner, healthier waters for future generations.

Our Founder

Chris Elfering holding trophy bass

Chris Elfering, a U.S. Army veteran, found his calling in Florida, where he settled to pursue his passion for chasing giant bass. A lifelong fisherman, he loved to tinker and make his own tackle, leading to the invention of the Woolly Jig—a hand-tied swim jig renowned for its lifelike action and durability. Inspired by Florida’s rich fishing culture, Chris crafted this innovative lure to withstand tough conditions and attract trophy bass. His dedication to the sport and commitment to quality have made the Woolly Jig a favorite among anglers nationwide.
